One-sided grinding and polishing of wooden and wood-based elements
The SJT polishing machine is designed for one-sided grinding and polishing of wooden and wood-based elements with a flat surface, with a complex shape in panel elements from narrow profiles to max. 300mm wide.
The SJT through-feed grinder is equipped with two horizontal heads. Machine shafts can be equipped with cartridges of a wide range of abrasives and cleaning brushes, allowing you to perform any finishing work from grinding to cleaning for specific production tasks. For example, when performing surface grinding and finishing works, after mechanical processing from grinding to polishing, between and after varnishing, watering, oiling, patination, leaching and other technologies.The spindles have smooth speed regulation, additionally each spindle has concurrent and counter-rotating in relation to the direction of movement of the workpiece. The workpiece is moved by a conveyor belt, which is equipped with a smooth speed control in the range of 2 – 12 m/min.Dust is removed through suction cups to individual extraction or to the company’s extraction system. The advances of the working brushes and the change of the height of the brushed elements are individually regulated by hand drives. The design of the working heads allows quick replacement of the grinding heads.
The SJT grinder and polisher consists of a welded profile body on which two drive units are installed. Grinding units are mounted on movable mounting plates, which allows you to set the tool at the required, predetermined height. The grinder also has adjustable side and top roller pressures. The body is fitted with a transport table with smooth adjustment of the speed of the conveyor belts. The simple construction of the device ensures easy operation and reliable operation. The heads can assume various positions in relation to the conveyor, from vertical, through angular, to horizontal.
It is possible to install (on the spindle pin) the following working tools:
- grinding drum
- polishing drum
- brush rollers
