Glue applicator for I-joists
One-component polyurethane (1-C PUR) adhesive applying machine with automated belt conveyor designed for the production of glued beams and parquet boards.
One-component polyurethane (1-C PUR) adhesive applying machine with automated belt conveyor is designed to produce the glue laminated timbers, KVH wooden beams, multi layer parquet, wooden i-beams and cross laminated timber (CLT) technology.
Dimensions of the applying areas are in the range of:
width – up to 350 mm.
length – up to 13000 mm.
height – up to 400 mm.
Applying parameters may be modified according to the individual requests of our customers. Dimensions of the glue applying area could be changed:
automatically by length with a step of 1mm (standard);
automatically by height with a step of 1mm (optional);
automatically by width, on request.
The KAM-PRO series glue applicator is designed to apply PUR glue to the sides of the connecting grooves where the I-beam elements are attached. The application portal moves automatically above the processed element. Positioning is carried out automatically in height. The application of glue is controlled by two-way pneumatic valves operating in automatic mode. There is a special tray that is filled with a plasticizer to prevent the glue from starting to react inside the applicator nozzles. The closing tray closes automatically in the event of a power failure or when the machine is stopped for more than one minute (this option can be adjusted according to the opening time of the glue used). It can also be closed manually by pressing the appropriate key on the control panel.
The adhesive is fed by means of a precision metering pump, delivering an exactly defined amount of adhesive (±5g/m2), evening out differences in adhesive viscosity and enabling the use of single-component polyurethane adhesives from any manufacturer without the need to reconfigure the equipment.
