KAM-PRO Automatic PU Glue Applicator for I-Joist and Engineered Timber Production

The KAM-PRO series PU glue applicator is a high-precision PUR adhesive application system designed for engineered timber production, including I-joists, glulam beams, and structural wood elements. It ensures accurate and uniform glue application to groove sides where I-beam components are joined, delivering strong, reliable bonding in modern timber manufacturing.

The system features an automatic application portal that moves along the production line and positions itself above each element. Height positioning is fully automatic, enabling fast adjustment for different workpiece sizes without manual setup, improving efficiency and production flow.

Glue application is controlled by two-way pneumatic valves operating in fully automatic mode for consistent adhesive distribution. A dedicated tray system filled with plasticizer prevents premature curing of PUR adhesive inside the nozzles, ensuring uninterrupted operation.

For safety, the closing tray activates automatically during power failure or machine inactivity and can also be controlled via the PLC panel.

Adhesive is supplied by a precision metering pump (±5 g/m²), ensuring exact dosing and compensating for viscosity differences, allowing use of various single-component PUR adhesives without system reconfiguration.

• Length: up to 13,000 mm
• Height: up to 400 mm

Applying parameters can be customized to customer needs. The system supports:

• automatic length adjustment (1 mm step, standard)
• automatic height adjustment (1 mm step, optional)
• automatic width adjustment (on request)
