I-Joist Production Machine – KAM-PRO Automatic PUR Glue Applicator for Engineered Timber

The KAM-PRO series I-joist machine is a high-precision PUR glue applicator system designed for efficient manufacturing of I-beams, engineered timber, and structural wood components. It applies adhesive accurately to the connecting grooves where I-beam elements are assembled, ensuring strong, durable, and consistent bonding.

The system features an automatic application portal that moves precisely above each processed element. Height positioning is fully automated, allowing fast adjustment for different timber sizes and improving production efficiency in continuous industrial operation.

Glue application is controlled by two-way pneumatic valves operating in fully automatic mode, ensuring stable and repeatable adhesive distribution throughout the production cycle. A specially designed tray filled with plasticizer prevents premature curing of PUR glue inside the nozzles, maintaining smooth and uninterrupted operation.

For safety and process control, the closing tray automatically activates during power failure or when the machine remains idle for more than one minute. This timing can be adjusted depending on adhesive characteristics, and manual control is also available via the PLC control panel.

The system uses a precision metering pump that delivers exact adhesive dosage (±5 g/m²), compensating for viscosity variations. This enables the use of single-component polyurethane adhesives from different manufacturers without system reconfiguration.
